OPEN BARN & VISITOR CENTER HOURS

FARM KITCHEN & STORE

We are in the heart of our produce season!  We continue to have a variety of produce from the Farm so be sure to stop by regularly to explore the flavors.

Ice cream is always a summer favorite, along with other local items including jams, Johnson Nature Center maple syrup and local honey (partially supplied from hives at Bowers Farm).

We also have a variety of fresh breads and baked goods each week to try, along with canned produce from our store.

OPEN BARN

Open Barn takes place Saturdays at 9am-3pm during August.

Try a Production Garden tour add-on to boost your learning and curiosities about our gardens.  Flower picking is also available on select dates.

How about picking your own flower bouquet during Open Barn?

MEATS

Support LOCAL food resources.  Local meat is available in the store!   We have FRESH frozen lamb, beef and chicken.  Food tastes better when you are aware of its story.

OPERATIONS NEWS

We’ve been hit! The summer storms have not been kind to our farm. An unconfirmed yet highly probable tornado came through the pastures and part of the forest on July 13. The following week, a strong windstorm found the trees near the gazebo and more in the forest. Thankfully, no animals nor humans have been hurt, but we did lose many trees and had substantial damage to 4 animal shelters. The team has worked diligently to restore safety and functionality to our farm, but it will still be a several weeks until we are back to ‘where we were'.

FALL FESTIVAL

We are planning our Fall Festival and expanding the fun and activities.  Put it on your calendar to join us for pumpkin picking, food trucks, cider and donuts along with some special new activities to be announced.

STAFF UPDATE

Meet Erin Watson, the new Guest Experience Specialist at Bowers Farm.  Erin has children attending school in the BHS district and has extensively held many leadership volunteer positions within the district.

Erin will help grow the farm kitchen, store, membership, and community engagement opportunities at the farm.

"I am excited to be a part of such a wonderful team that strives to curate space for our guests to have positive and meaningful experiences around agriculture and connection to farm food sources.  Whether you’re just swinging in to pick up some farm fresh produce, joining us at an Open Barn to see Kronk the Llama (my favorite!), or joining us for one of our fun seasonal events, I look forward to seeing you at Bowers!"
